People — Louie Akinwale

Together with my friend Raphael Chipperfield (director) I ask people about strong scent-memories they have with the ones that matter to them. This time: Louie, from London.

We first met a few months ago when I introduced my perfumes at S-PLY Store in Shoreditch. His warm and sensitive way of being struck me and we connected instantly. Louie was also a great help when I was putting up the launch at LN-CC.

Thanks for that buddy!

Louie loves Flower Boy.

Chypre Woody Floral

A beautiful bouquet in a smoky garage.

Flower Boy Extrait is a chypre with floral and woody characteristics that act as an homage to modern masculinity. Top notes of rose absolute, marigold and Japanese hinoki create a woody-floral opening that challenges stereotypical male fragrances. The heart reinforces the floral element using geranium, gardenia and patchouli. Notes of sandalwood, tar and tobacco begin to show their colours, creating a smoky, almost rubbery balance against the opening.

“Flower Boy is my challenge to stereotypical men’s fragrances. It’s an homage to modern masculinity, which manifests strength and greatness through confidence and an ability to embrace our sensual side.”

Top:
rose absolute, marigold, hinoki
Heart: geranium, gardenia, patchouli
Base: sandalwood, tar, tobacco

This Extrait de Parfum has a perfume concentration of 30%
